ORIOLES ZACH BRITTON 2013 DEBUT IN SEATTLE

THE ONCE HIGHLY TOUTED 2010 PROSPECT OF THE O'S MAKES HIS 2013 DEBUT AT SAFECO FIELD TONIGHT.  I WAS ABLE TO SECURE HIS SIGNATURE AT THIS YEAR'S ORIOLES FANFEST; HE WAS WALKING IN THE HALLWAY OF THE CONVENTION CENTER..

INDOOR FOOTBALL HARRISBURG STAMPEDE

THE YORK CAPITALS HOSTED THE HARRISBURG STAMPEDE THIS PAST SATURDAY.  THE STAMPEDE TROUNCED YORK 56-6.  THE OWNER OF THE HARRISBURG STAMPEDE IS NEW ORLEANS SAINT MARQUES COLSTON.  I WAS ABLE TO SECURE HIS AUTOGRAPH AFTER LAST YEAR'S GAME IN YORK, PA.  THE STAMPEDE PLAYED A GAME AT OUR ICE ARENA.  MY DAUGHTER AND I APPROACHED HIM AFTER THE GAME AND MARQUES GRACIOUSLY SIGNED THIS CARD AND A COWBELL THEY WERE HANDING OUT @ THE GAME!!

2013 NFL DRAFT

PENN STATE CENTER MATT STANKIEWITCH WAS NOT DRAFTED IN THIS YEAR'S DRAFT.  THE PENN STATER WAS PICKED UP BY THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AS A ROOKIE FREE AGENT.  BILL O'BRIEN AND THE PATRIOTS CONNECTION HELPED MATT GET INKED.  THIS CARD WAS OBTAINED @ THE 49TH ANNUAL YORK SPORTS NIGHT.  CLOSE TO 20 PSU PLAYERS ATTENDED THIS EVENT!

GEORGE W. BUSH PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

TODAY ALL 5 PRESIDENT'S ATTENDED THE OPENING OF THE GEORGE W. BUSH LIBRARY IN DALLAS, TEXAS.  THIS COPY OF GWB'S MEMOIR WAS RECEIVED IN 2010, 1ST EDITION.  BOOKPLATE STYLE!!  GWB DID A LIMITED NUMBER OF BOOKSIGNING WHEN HIS MEMOIR WAS PUBLISHED.  W HAD BOOK PLATES AVAILBLE THROUGH HIS FOUNDATION UPON REQUEST THROUGH A SELF ADDRESSED STAMP ENVELOPE!

FORMER VICE PRESIDENT AL GORE SIGNED BOOK ALONG WITH A CAMPAIGN STICKER FROM A BOOK SIGNING IN WASHINGTON, DC BACK IN 2006.  AL SIGNED THE BOOK ON THE COVER AND INSIDE PAGE,  IN ADDITION HE SIGNED THE STICKER.

STEELERS BASKETBALL VS. DOVER FACULTY

My daughter and I attended a charity basketball game with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dover School, PA Faculty!  A packed house watched a very entertaining game.  The Steelers travel yearly to York County for fundraising work.  I was able to secure all 6 of the Steelers listed below:

ATLANTIC LEAGUE OPENING NIGHT

I am reflective on another start of independent baseball in York PA.  This allows fans access to players in a more intimate stadium!  Players/Managers that have passed through Sovereign Bank Stadium include Gary Carter, Tim Raines, Chris Hoiles, Sparkly Lyle, Jay Gibbons, Carl Everett and Armando Benitez to name a few!!  This year the league features Dontrelle Willis, Ramon Castro, Vlad Guerrero, Brett Tomko, and Andy Marte to mention a few more.  As you can tell, it will be an exciting time for autograph collecting at the Vault!!

Mia Hamm Lecture:

Sorry to report no photos or autographs!!  After the lecture was over, the staff whisked her away immediately!!  The 1st lecture I have attended that the speaker does not stay after the speech to meet and greet!!    I hope to have better luck with the Steelers Basketball game this Saturday!!
