1972 Pro Football Hall of Famer Gino Marchetti dies at the age of 92!

Today Baltimore Colt Hall of Famer Gino Marchetti dies at the age of 93!  Gino played on the 1958 and 1959 Colt Championship teams!  The 11x Pro Bowler was a World War II veteran in the Battleof the Bulge!  Gino was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972!  In 2008, Gino attended York Sports Night!

The 55th Annual York(Pa) Sports Night!

Last evening I attended the 55th Annual York Sports Night held at the Heritage Hills Golf and Conference Center!  The guest list included Baseball Hall of Famer Andre Dawson, Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Guy, Boxing Hall of Famer Pernell Whitaker, Baltimore Colt Tom Matte, and Penn State Football players Koa Farmer and Nick Scott!  It was truly an afternoon with legendary sports celebrities!  The highlight for me was talking to Pernell about his career and the state of boxing!  I was a huge boxing fan during the 1980’s and  90’s!
