CIVIL WAR HISTORY WITH JAMES MCCLURE & SCOTT MINGUS.  THE FAMILY ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WENT TO A CIVIL WAR LIVING HISTORY ENCAMPMENT.  THIS EVENT WAS HELD @ BROWN'S ORCHARD IN YORK, PA.  COMPANY K OF THE 45TH PENNSYLVANIA VOLUNTEER INFANTRY WERE THERE TO TALK ABOUT WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE 150 YEARS AGO.
WHILE ATTENDING THIS EVENT, CIVIL WAR AUTHORS SCOTT MINGUS AND JAMES MCCLURE ATTENDED.    I HAD THEM SIGN 3X5 CARDS.  SCOTT ALSO HANDED ME HIS BUSINESS CARD.  BOTH AUTHORED BOOKS INVOLVING THE CIVIL WAR AND YORK COUNTY'S INVOLVEMENT LEADING UP TO THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG.  IT WILL BE A BUSY TIME AROUND YORK/GETTYSBURG AREA THIS YEAR AS THE AREA OBSERVES THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEADLIEST BATTLE ON AMERICAN SOIL.
