SENATOR & MLB HOF'ER JIM BUNNING PASSES AWAY AT THE AGE OF 85!

JIM BUNNING OF KENTUCKY DIED ON FRIDAY AT 85, SIX YEARS AFTER DEPARTING THE U.S. SENATE, AND 45 PLUS YEARS AFTER HE FINISHED A PRO BASEBALL CAREER THAT LANDED HIM IN THE HALL OF FAME IN 1996!  JIM PLAYED FOR THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES AND THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES!  HE IS THE ONLY PITCHER TO THROW A NO HITTER ON FATHER'S DAY!  BUNNING WON 224 GAMES AND STRUCK OUT 2,855 BATTERS, AND MADE THE ALL-STAR TEAM NINE TIMES!  IN 2014, JIM MADE AN APPEARANCE AT YORK SPORTS NIGHT!  I WAS ABLE TO SECURE AN AUTOGRAPH AND A BLURRY PICTURE WITH THE SENATOR!  HE IS THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE PITCHED IN MLB AND THE UPPER CHAMBER!

ABOVE IS A 1998 PACIFIC TRADING CARD FROM JIM BUNNING!  HE INSCRIBED HOF 96!
