TODAY, FORMER BALTIMORE RAVEN LB RAY LEWIS WAS ELECTED TO THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME IN FIRST YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY! THE BEST MIDDLE LINEBACKER IN NFL HISTORY HAD A 17 YEAR CAREER AND WON 2 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BALTIMORE! NUMBER 52 WAS A 2X DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND SUPER BOWL 35 MVP. WHAT SEPARATED HIM FROM EVERYONE ELSE: HIS ABILITY TO PLAY ALL 4 DOWNS AS A MLB AND HIS SIDELINE TO SIDELINE COVERAGE. MOREOVER, HIS INTENSITY AND LEADERSHIP ABILITY WERE UNPARALLELED FOR THE RAVENS! THE TEAM HAS NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE HE LEFT AND I WILL BE ON THE RECORD TO SAY THEY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME! NO DIFFERENCE MAKERS ON THE TEAM AND A GENERAL APATHY WITH THOUSANDS OF NO-SHOWS FOR THE FINAL 2 HOME GAMES LAST SEASON! AFTER HIS RETIREMENT, THE TEAM IS 40-40 AND HAS BEEN ON A DOWNWARD SLIDE! CONGRATULATIONS TO RAY ON ELECTION, AND NEXT YEAR FORMER RAVEN ED REED WILL BE A 1ST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER FOR THE CLASS OF 2019!
