BALTIMORE COLT SUPER BOWL V WINNER ROY HILTON PASSES AWAY AT THE AGE OF 75!

THIS AFTERNOON, NEWS BROKE THAT BALTIMORE COLT V SUPER BOWL WINNER ROY HILTON DIED.  HE BATTLED ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND DEMENTIA.  THE 75 YEAR OLD DEFENSIVE END PLAYED 9 SEASONS(1965-73) FOR THE COLTS AND WAS THE BOOKEND WITH BUBBA SMITH.  HIS BIGGEST PERFOMANCE OCCURRED IN SUPER BOWL V WHEN HE HAD 2 SACKS AS BALTIMORE DEFEATED THE DALLAS COWBOYS 16-13.  HILTON ALSO PLAYED IN SUPER BOWL III WHEN THE COLTS WERE UPSET BY THE NEW YORK JETS.  I MET ROY IN 2014 AT THE HANOVER,PA ROTARY SPORTS NIGHT!  IT WAS A PLEASURE TALKING TO ROY AFTER ALL THE STORIES I HEARD FROM MY GRANDFATHER AND FATHER REGARDING BALTIMORE COLT HISTORY!

ABOVE IS A PHOTO WITH BALTIMORE COLT SUPER BOWL V WINNER: ROY HILTON!

ABOVE IS A 1973 TOPPS CARD SIGNED BY ROY HILTON!  WHEN I MET HIM IN 2014, HIS HANDS WERE SHAKING CONSTANTLY AS HE SIGNED.  HE SAID HE WAS BATTLING EARLY STAGES OF PARKINSON DISEASE!
